For parents with older children, every year it seems like the “Back to School” ads start earlier and earlier in the summer.

Before the July 4th fireworks are even finished, parents are bombarded with reminders that soon it will be time to send the kids back to school.

Waterford Lakes Day Care — For New Parents, It’s All Brand New

But for many parents who have young children, this year’s late summer tradition may be their first experience with school supplies sales, school uniforms fittings, and other back to school season since they were children themselves.

This is especially true for new parents whose children are four or five years old.  Many may not realize that their kids are eligible to start their formalized education this year through the state of Florida’s incredible Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) learning preparation program.

Children aged four and five years old can be enrolled in a public or private school, preschool, or child care facility and get early exposure to the type of learning skills they will need throughout the rest of their academic careers.

What parents may also not realize is that VPK is absolutely FREE!
